Ko & Ko has hand selected the best team of architects, interior designers, construction team and suppliers to guide you through every step in making your dream home a reality. A great deal of thought is given right from the location of your build, the concept design, development and final drawings, to the materials and selection of fixtures and fittings.
We draw inspiration from the land in which we build upon and believe that being sympathetic to the site and our clients are essential parts to completing a spectacular build.
The Process
Discover it
Finding the land that is in your ideal location, inspires you, has a beautiful aesthetic and for the right value is paramount in completing a successful home. This is the basis and platform for everything which follows. We work alongside you to secure your ideal spot. And if you have land already, let's move forward together and explore it.
Explore it
Here we explore the history of the site, the constraints, opportunities and values the land has to offer. We gather all required information which is site specific. We spend time establishing an initial brief from you which will include your requirements of the home, budget and timeline. You will also have an opportunity to select the right architect for you from our team and meet them.
Design it
This phase will look a little like the layout below. These stages will be broken down and explained in full detail.
Pre Design / Concept / Preliminary Design / Resource Consent Developed Design / Detailed Design Documentation for Building Consent / Detailed Design Documentation for Construction Procurement.
Make it
Now that we have designed your home and priced all components of the build along with the establishing the programme, we project manage the construction to completion.
Plant it
An essential step towards completing your home is landscape design. Grounding the home with landscaping contributes significantly to well-being and quality of life. It provides a wider context within which we live our lives. We will work with our team of landscapers to tie the essence of your vision from the inside out.
Fit it out
Every detail throughout the home has been hand selected with a real sense of purpose. The same goes for furnishing your home. Integrating the rugs, sofas, cushions and everything in between will celebrate and magnify the beauty held in the sight and in the home, bringing everything together.
Settle In
